Editorial policy
I write in the first person because the check has a date and a source, not because I am inventing a playthrough. “I opened the Steam API on 19 October 2026” means that request happened. “Players report” means a Steam or Reddit thread, and it is not upgraded into a rule. The Hooded Horse starter guide and the pinned FAQ outrank a wiki. A competitor calculator never outranks either.
What I will not publish
- A price, review count, or platform that I did not see on that date. The Chinese yuan figure from older notes is omitted until it is rechecked.
- A critic average while Metacritic says critic reviews are unavailable.
- Cleaner radii, adjacency percentages, or building costs that only appear on an unverified sheet.
- A claim that PS5 or Switch will never exist. The accurate line is “not on the launch list.”
- Unofficial download mirrors. Supported store links are Steam, GOG, Epic and the Microsoft/Xbox PC listing; an Xbox-branded page does not by itself prove console availability.

Email contact@beyondthesestars.org with the URL and the source. If the source is newer than the page’s date, I update the sentence and the date together. Screenshots are the store’s 1920×1080 images, credited to Balancing Monkey Games and Hooded Horse. I do not offer them as a downloadable pack.
